As Walking Football continues to grow, there is a need to bring together passionate and committed volunteers to drive consistency in how the game is organised and played.
The FA has created an initiative called TeamWalk and in particular TeamWalk Local, which represents the game locally.
Here in Oxfordshire, the County FA has assisted with the creation of TeamWalk Oxfordshire.
TeamWalk Oxfordshire is currently made up of the following:-
John Munro
Pete Foley
Pete Cannon - Referees Representative
Bruce Sayers
Mark Pritchard - Parkinsons Representative
Tony Norris
Alix Todd - OFA
but we are now reaching out to all Walking Footballers in Oxfordshire to see whether there are others with like-minded passion and commitment who might be interested in joining the group. We want the group to represent all facets of Walking Football and would specifically like to add someone that can represent the women players and teams in Oxfordshire.
TeamWalk Oxfordshire’s Terms of Reference are:-
